Meigs County Clerk

The Meigs County Clerk's office performs various functions of county business. The specific work of the office is prescribed by the State Legislature as keeping the minutes of the County Commission meetings to conducting a great deal of the State's taxation duties within the county. The duties include motor vehicle registration, issuing marriage licenses, issuing business licenses, collecting the overnight lodging tax, collecting the sales tax on motor vehicles, issuing beer permits, genealogical research, vehicle registration (both in-person & remote), and issuing manufactured mobile home decals. Applications for Notary Publics and Pawnbrokers are also processed by the Clerk's office. Various public records can be found on file, in the office as well.
