Probation Office

The Meigs County & Misdemeanor Probation Services performs various functions. This office deals with juveniles in several ways:

1. Saturday classes with juveniles on probation.

2. YSO chairs the Truancy and Discipline Board.

3. Assist in doing juvenile petitions.

4. Meeting with parents.

5. Going to Juvenile each month.

6. Information for resources, such as Health Connect, Therapy, tutoring, DCS, etc.

Misdemeanor Probation Office

1. Attend three courts per month.

2. Write and issue Violations of Probation.

3. Meet with Clients weekly.

4. Collect court cost and fines and probation fees.

This office also teaches Domestic Violence classes.
